The comments have been very encouraging and it is nice to know that some have already travelled some distance to come and visit the shops. Many more intend on doing the same.

ReplyDeleteI would also like to thank Isabelle for her very generous blogposts for the two of us. Beautiful photographs and charming words that have certainly already brought excited customers to Shepton Mallet.
I was actually in Frome today and spoke to one of the shop keepers on Catherine's Hill. It seems that the first vintage style shop to open its doors there, was done so only 5 years ago...and now look at the range of special shops on the hill...this has to be encouraging for Shepton, and also inspiring that something similar could emerge on Town Street, given a little bit of time and some brave individuals looking to make a home for their new business.
