I wanted to let you know about a new initiative that I am doing. I own The Keepsake Company at www.thekeepsakeco.co.uk and am planning to create a permanent memory of Shepton Mallet over the last 100 years. I used to have a shop in Shepton Mallet for several years, and whilst my shop is now online, I am keen to say thank you to local people for their support over the years.
As a Keepsake specialist and someone who constantly captures memories for others, I am keen to use my skills for the benefit of local people and have embarked on a project to capture memories of the town. I am asking local people to get in touch with me to supply their memories, poems and artifacts of Shepton Mallet over the past 100 years so they are not lost forever. I will then create a picture displaying as many as I can. The finished wall hanging will be presented to the library where it will go on display for everyone to see and enjoy.
