Vintage Tea and Ribbons

Vintage tea cups and saucers, how very British! 
.....the trend for vintage china continues, mixing different patterns is perfectly expected. 

  

I decided to tie individual cups, saucers and plates with a ribbon for a pretty gift set.

 I am so thankful that the local haberdashery in the high st was just a few minutes walk,

 where I found an colourful array of ribbons .....Shepton Wools & Haberdashery

A kaledescope of colour, with so many colours to choose from, I know from experience 

if I could'nt find what I wanted they would go out of their way to source it.

It is so lovely to find such friendly, helpful people! ...the benefits of shopping in 'the little shops' 

I selected a palette of vintage coloured ribbons from

   Here, here! The haberdashery shop in Shepton is indeed a jewel...I buy items such as polyester toy filler, thread and even card blanks for making handmade greetings cards there...and like you say, the guys are very friendly.

I agree! They are so friendly and helpful...if they haven't got it they'll get it for you...I'm always going in for bits and bobs...and usually I'll have searched high and low for something somewhere only to find they have it there! Love your teacups-very pretty finishing touch!x
